Century Commons' Computer Maintenance and Updates
Century Commons has a dedicated fiber connection with 3MB bandwidth for accessing the Internet, including the Odessa College main site and Blackboard. To ensure that you have the fastest possible connection, a few things are necessary to ensure the security of your computer and enhance your connection speed.
- Keep your computer up to date with the latest patches from Microsoft.
- Keep your computer virus-free by ensuring your AntiVirus software is current.
- Keep malware and spyware off your computer with current, up-to-date anti-spyware software.
Students must also comply with Odessa College's computer use policy for access to the Internet. This can be found at the following site: OC Computer Policy. Residents who are found to be in violation of OC Computer Policy are subject to disciplinary action by the Director of Residence Life.
