Selene Carbajal currently serves as the Director of Quality, Effectiveness, and Compliance at Odessa College, where she also serves as the institution's SACSCOC Liaison. Throughout her career in higher education, she has held positions with increasing responsibility, including serving as a Fiscal Coordinator at The University of Texas Permian Basin, where she gained experience in budgeting, financial management, and fiscal oversight.

In addition to her higher education experience, Selene has successfully written and managed grants and has owned and operated a tax practice for more than 20 years, providing financial and tax services to individuals and businesses. Her combined experience in finance, compliance, accountability, and strategic planning has equipped her with a strong foundation in organizational stewardship and fiscal responsibility.

Selene holds an MBA and an Executive Juris Doctorate, bringing expertise in finance, governance, regulatory compliance, and policy. She is committed to transparency, sound financial management, and service to the higher education community
