ODESSA, TEXAS — Odessa College has completed renovations to its tennis and pickleball courts, reopening the facilities with new lighting that extends opportunities for students, employees and community members to enjoy the courts into the evening.
The renovated OC Tennis & Pickleball Courts are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The addition of lighting allows for expanded evening play, with court lights operating until the facility closes automatically at 10 p.m.
The courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved for Odessa College classes, athletics, tournaments, camps or special events. When others are waiting, players are asked to limit court use to 60 minutes for singles or 90 minutes for doubles.
The facilities are provided for the enjoyment of the entire Odessa community. Odessa College asks all visitors to help maintain a safe, welcoming and respectful environment by following posted court rules, wearing non-marking athletic shoes, properly disposing of trash and demonstrating consideration for fellow players.
Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, hoverboards, glass containers, alcoholic beverages and pets—except service animals—are not permitted on the courts. Amplified music, commercial instruction and organized league activities require prior approval from Odessa College.
Courts may close without notice due to weather, maintenance needs or College programming. All use of the facilities is at the participant’s own risk.
Odessa College invites students, employees and community members to visit the renovated courts and take advantage of this enhanced recreational resource. Visitors are asked to exit the facility promptly when the lights turn off at 10 p.m.
