ODESSA, Texas —The countdown is on! Odessa College invites students, employees and community members to get ready to build a healthy habit and join the 2026 30 for 30 Fitness Challenge.

Everyone is invited to the 30 for 30 Kickoff at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the newly enhanced Odessa College Softball and Tennis Complex. Guests can enjoy the facility under its new lighting, participate in a pickleball tournament and get ready for 30 days of movement and motivation.

Registration for 30 for 30 is open now. Download the new Odessa College app to register or register at the Aug. 29 kickoff. Participants who have already registered for the challenge — or who register at the kickoff — can pick up their 30 for 30 T-shirts at the event, while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.

The challenge runs Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 and encourages participants to complete 30 minutes of physical activity or 8,000 steps each day for 30 days. The challenge is divided into three 10-day stages: Build the Habit, Build the Momentum and Build the Lifestyle. Participants may participate individually or join a team of at least three.

Participants also have opportunities to win prizes throughout the challenge, including a Hydro Origin Rower workout package, $1,000 H-E-B gift card, Hooga red-light therapy panel, Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, $500 student grand prize and $1,000 team prize.

“30 for 30 is about building a healthy habit that can last beyond the 30 days,” said Dr. Gregory D. Williams, president of Odessa College. “We invite everyone to join us Saturday, enjoy our newly enhanced facilities and get ready to make September a month of movement.”
